The range of water base binders is lower than the solvent one. This is due to the difficulty in covering all solvent binders in an ecological way.
Neverthless, it covers the range of products normally used in the manufacturing industry and offers a wide choice of primers: the epoxy one has an excellent quality, providing the same or better performance than the solvent ones, with quicker air-drying time.
Industrially, the most commonly used water base binders are:
- 3 primers
- 2 stoving binders
- 2 epoxy binders
- 2 2K DTM acrylic binders
- 1 polyurethane binder
- 2 alkyd quick air drying binders
- 2 one-coat binders
Water base binders are planned for providing high performance levels of aesthetics as well as chemical and mechanical resistance.
Moreover, water base binders are formulated to have a negligible environmental impact thanks to the minimum cosolvents use.
